To help people with disabilities navigate the job market, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, also known as NDIS Assist Access/Maintain Employment, was created. These programs seek to improve skills through training, make it easier to access work possibilities, and offer continuous assistance to sustain long-term employment.
Support is provided to maintain employment through NDIS Assist Access/Maintain Employment programs, which also help with workplace dynamics and long-term success. An inclusive work environment is promoted by offering tailored workplace adaptations to meet individual needs.

To empower people with disabilities on their path to obtaining, gaining, and retaining meaningful work opportunities, the NDIS Assist Access/Maintain work programs offer a wide range of supports, such as training, counselling, and practical assistance.
- Disabilities Requirements: People must have a major, long-lasting handicap that significantly limits their capacity to work independently.
- Age Requirement: When submitting their initial application, applicants must be younger than 65.
- Australian Residency: Citizens, permanent residents, or holders of a Protected Special Category Visa are required.
- Functional Impairment: A functional impairment resulting from the disability should make it more difficult for the person to engage in work-related tasks
